How your agents remember

Saved knowledge

Notes are stored with your account, separately from a chat. Agents receive a selected summary and can look up stored details. A saved note is not necessarily loaded in every reply.

Conversation context

This is the material an agent uses during the current conversation. Its limit depends on the model and runtime. Long conversations may be condensed; a summary does not preserve every detail.

Workspace files

Documents and working files are separate from notes. Adding a file to a chat does not automatically turn all its contents into searchable knowledge. Use Import text for notes you want in this library.

Saved does not mean backed up forever. Export your knowledge for your own copy. Removing a note here does not erase past chats or original files.

Add knowledge

A useful fact your agents can refer to again.

Shared with the agents in your account.

Import text knowledge

Review the text before adding it to your library.

Long text will be split into notes of up to 2,000 characters. The original file is not uploaded.

Nothing is saved until you choose Add to library.

Memory sent to your agents

A preview of shared memory selected for a new run. Your message, role and other instructions are separate.

These sizes are characters of selected knowledge, not the model's token window. Stored notes can also be looked up during a task.
